About CGCB
Dr. Lori Henderson is CTEP's Clinical Grants and Contracts Branch Chief.
The Clinical Grants and Contracts Branch leads CTEP's efforts to fund non-network early phase clinical cancer therapy trials proposed by the cancer research community at large. As such, CGCB serves as a vital resource to the clinical oncology community and manages one of the most diverse portfolios of cancers in DCTD.
CGCB's research portfolio includes early phase studies (both IND and non-IND) evaluating dose, safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and effectiveness of novel anticancer drugs, vaccines, biologics, immunotherapeutic agents, cell and gene therapies, and treatment combinations.
CGCB Program Directors support independent investigators and the cancer research community by:
- Providing pre-award guidance (both scientific and administrative).
- Administering grants and cooperative agreements.
- Stewarding trials in accordance with NIH and NCI clinical trial policies, regulations, and oversight procedures.
- Advising extramural investigators on funding opportunities and grant mechanisms.
- Administering and overseeing cooperative agreements to support the professional development of exceptional research oncologists with intramural-extramural partnerships through the Lasker Clinical Research Scholars program.
