Dr. Kang received her PharmD from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy (UKCOP) in 2013. She then completed a PGY-1 residency at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut. She also received a master's degree in clinical and experimental therapeutics from UKCOP in 2017.

After working as a clinical pharmacist at the University of Kentucky Healthcare, she transitioned to research and oncology pharmacy services at the Children's National Medical Center and then at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, where she served as a pharmacy representative on the Data and Safety Monitoring Board. Prior to joining PMB, she worked as a contractor supporting the Division of Clinical Research at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, where she served as a research pharmacy advisor to designated national and international research pharmacies. During this time, she was a member of a drug-drug interaction (DDI) workgroup that developed a DDI database tool for a clinical trial.
