Dr. Elise Kohn reviews, coordinates, and oversees portfolios of phase 2-3 clinical trials for the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP) in gynecologic cancers and gastrointestinal neuroendocrine cancers. She also chairs the NCTN Core Correlative Science Committee (CCSC), which reviews proposals for correlative science using banked biospecimens from completed National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN) clinical trials.

Dr. Kohn trained at the University of Michigan and received Medical Oncology training at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). She spent over 20 years overseeing an NCI intramural laboratory and clinical program focused on women’s cancers, including ovarian cancer.

Dr. Kohn has served in the US Public Health Service and on the Department of Defense Ovarian Cancer Research Program. She has received multiple awards, including the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance's Rosalind Franklin Excellence in Ovarian Cancer Research Award and NIH Director's Merit Awards. She was elected an AAAS Fellow in 2002.
