The NCI Drug Synthesis and Chemistry Branch (DSCB)

Chemists of the Drug Synthesis and Chemistry Branch are responsible for scientific liaison activities with academia and industry to stimulate the submission of synthetic compounds and pure natural products for in vitro anti-cancer screening.  Additionally, DSCB actively maintains a large chemical agent repository to manage the acquisition and distribution of chemical samples for NIH and external research purposes. DSCB chemists provide synthetic medicinal and process chemistry expertise in support of the Chemical Agent Repository, NExT and Stepping Stones programs.
