Mission
ITDB supports the development and validation of biomedical imaging technology and methods to enable basic research and clinical investigations of cancer biology, diagnosis, and treatment to better understand disease onset, progression, and treatment response and to improve patient outcomes.
Our strategy is characterized by a balanced emphasis on both the current-generation (commercially supported) and next generation imaging platforms. ITDB emphasizes multimodality imaging and methods of quantitative imaging on resolution scales from the molecular level to the organ level. An important branch interest area we support is new imaging informatics research, including the development and adoption of AI based tools and models, to enable the integration of cancer research across spatial and temporal scales.
