Dr. Jasmin Bavarva is a Program Manager in the Office of Cancer Clinical Proteomics Research (OCCPR) within the Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis (DCTD). In this role, he oversees OCCPR's biospecimen operations and manages grants and contracts supporting cancer research initiatives.

Before joining the OCCPR in 2021, Dr. Bavarva served as a Project Manager at Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. There, he provided project management support to the Project Management Operations Office (PMOO) and managed multiple National Cancer Institute (NCI) subcontracts. His work spanned key areas such as biospecimen acquisition, pre-analytical variables, genomic characterization, and clinical biomarkers.

Dr. Bavarva has diverse research experience in the biomedical field. His most recent research at Virginia Tech was focused on characterizing nicotine-induced genomic changes and studying acquired exomic variants as individuals age.
