Biography

Edward L. Korn, PhD has been with NCI/DCTD since 1989.  Prior to joining the Division, he was an Associate Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine and the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center.  He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and a Fellow of the AAAS. He is co-author of over 250 publications.  Currently he serves on the data safety and monitoring boards for the Southwest Oncology Group, the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, and the National Cancer Institute of Canada Clinical Trials Group.  He is currently a Deputy Editor of Clinical Trials and a Statistical Editor of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute and serves on the NCI Thoracic Malignancy Steering Committee and on the NCI Melanoma and Skin Cancer Steering Committee. His research involves improving the design, monitoring, and analysis of cancer clinical trials.
