This webinar will provide information about PAR-25-325, “Integrating Biospecimen Science Approaches into Clinical Assay Development (U01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed).”

Through this Notice of Funding Opportunity, the National Cancer Institute invites applications to support extramural research to investigate and mitigate challenges facing clinical assay development and subsequent analytical validation due to preanalytical variability in tumor tissue biopsies and liquid biopsies.

Extramural research may focus on how different biospecimen preanalytical factors associated with collection, processing, and storage could affect emerging and clinically relevant biomarkers.

The goal of this funding announcement is to expedite biomarker clinical assay development through evidence-based standardization of biopsy handling practices.
