DCTD’s Collins to Give Kaplan Lecture at Harvard

Jerry M. Collins, Ph.D., associate director, Developmental Therapeutics Program, DCTD, will present the Thirteenth Annual William D. Kaplan Lecture at Harvard Medical School on April 24, 2007.

Dr. Collins, an expert clinical pharmacologist, will share his views on Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging in a talk entitled: “Beyond FDG: Facilitating the Next Generation of PET Imaging Probes.” This prestigious lectureship has been given by a world-renown list of past presenters that includes Henry N. Wagner, M.D., a nuclear medicine pioneer, Michael E. Phelps, Ph.D., the inventor of PET, and Barry A. Siegel, M.D., an innovator of clinical PET use.

The lectureship is named after William Kaplan, M.D., who was the first chief of Oncologic Nuclear Medicine at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School.
